• An optional listener module for shared folders now creates a OX user (may cost additional user licenses) for shared folders with email addresses. The listener module is only required with Dovecot IMAP installations and when creating subfolders of shared folders with email addresses. To activate it, set the UCR variable ox/listener/folder/enabled to yes and run univention-directory-listener-ctrl resync ox-folder afterwards.

This update covers the following topics:

• The OX user id cache is now only rebuilt during a restart of the Univention Directory Listener and not during each run of the cron job for processing the listener queue (every 4 min). This change reduces the load on larger environments and fixes some concurrency problems that may have occurred.
• In the past tracebacks may have been shown in the logfile listener.log occasionally that were triggered by a racing condition. The internal handling of changes within the OX user listener module has been improved to prevent possible consistencies.
• A new group cache has been introduced in the OX listener modules ox-user.py, ox-group.py and ox-context.py to speed up the import of users.
• The mapping between OX and LDAP attributes in the OX user listener can now be overridden via UCR.

• A tool to interactively manage the listener queue files was added.
• An inconsistency has been fixed that occurred when OX users were renamed.
• A default value has changed with this release. The Open-Xchange backendRoute will now default to "OX0" by setting the UCR variable "ox/cfg/server.properties/com.openexchange.server.backendRoute" to "OX0". If there are manual adjustments, this variable may have to be updated accordingly after the update
• The UCR variable "ox/listener/user/ldap/attributes" has been introduced, that may contain additional LDAP attribute names the OX user listener module will monitor. The LDAP attributes have to be seperated by whitespace.
• The join script version of package univention-ox was raised to ensure a newer version of the OX UDM hook oxAccess.py is activated.
• The SIEVE configuration is now adapted automatically for OX 7.8.4.

• A logic error in the handling of the oxDisplayName attribute has been fixed. If the display name corresponds to the default scheme, it is automatically adapted when the first and last names are changed. It is also possible to set a different display name. The attribute is then no longer automatically modified until it returns to the default scheme.

• In environments with lots of users the OX listener module for group synchonisation to OX App Suite has become extremely slow. A new caching mechanism has been implemented to speed this up. The cache is automatically rebuilt on every restart of the listener module. To prevent the cache rebuild, the UCR variable "ox/listener/userid-cache/autoinvalidate" has to be set to "no". Please note, that the cache will become inconsistent, if OX users are manually created or deleted via command line tools.
